OBT welcomes new Receptionist, Matiese
OBT Receptionist Matiese Jones has had roles in some of the regions most well-known and popular businesses.
But when a friend of a friend told her there was a position going at OBT, she was quick to apply!
Gatton local Matiese only took her position at the front desk this year, but she’s already into the swing of things.
As well as assisting any OBT clients who drop into our offices, Matiese is key to our professionalism by efficiently setting appointments and readying our meeting rooms in order to create the right impression.
Matiese loves the friendly atmosphere at OBT, which she describes as ‘a little family’. She also keeps us running smoothly by dispatching the large volume of communications and reminders that our clients need to act upon. Her advice is to complete and return all signed documents at tax time to make it a breeze.
As if all of that doesn’t keep Matiese busy enough, outside the office she is a regular volunteer at Camp Diabetes, a crucial program that’s about having fun while making a real difference to children and adolescents living with Type 1 diabetes. Camp Diabetes has grown to a minimum of six camps each year and is always in need of support, which you make here.
Matiese commenced with OBT Financial Group in 2018. She holds a Diploma of Hospitality Management, Diploma of Event Management, Cert II Hospitality and a Cert III Business. Prior to joining OBT Matiese gained experience working at the Nash Gallery in Esk, Somerset Regional Council and at Gatton’s Killing Time with Coffee. Matiese is a veteran of Camp Diabetes having been diagnosed and starting her involvement in her childhood, and then becoming a regular camp volunteer from 2014.
