Gatton’s OBT Financial Group was named Winner of the Professional Services Category in the 2013 Lockyer Valley Business, Training & Apprenticeship Awards at the prestigious ceremony held 23 November at Gatton Shire Hall.
OBT was the only financial sector business winner amidst a strong field of local businesses including fellow category finalists Laidley-based Tell Me A Story Books and Gatton Real Estate.
OBT Director Rodney Turner said, “Whilst the awards were dominated by such a varied array of local operators, it is heartening to see a business from the financial sector, which itself helps small and medium businesses to build their financial security, recognised as professional services category winner.”
It is a culmination of a 30-year journey for OBT Financial Group, highlighted by strategic business initiatives that have enabled the firm to evolve and grow into the mature business it is today, not least supported by dedication and hard work from everyone involved.
OBT is grateful for the acknowledgement by the Lockyer Valley Business, Training & Apprenticeship Awards, the local business community and this year’s major event sponsors, category sponsors and media sponsors.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor Cr Steve Jones said, “As a forward-thinking, innovative and highly successful business, the 2013 Lockyer Valley Business, Training and Apprenticeship Awards are all about recognising excellence in local business and their respective employees, trainees and apprentices.”
The Lockyer Valley Business, Training & Apprenticeship Awards celebrate the region’s entrepreneurs and innovators. It offers a unique chance for local businesses to be recognised for their hard work, commitment and success.
